Press Release from Dynamic Extractions LtdPreparative scale liquid chromatography with extremely low solvent usageSlough, UK – Liquid chromatography innovator Dynamic Extractions’ High Performance Countercurrent Chromatography (HPCCC) instruments enable scientists with preparative scale chromatography requirements to perform high-resolution chromatography and high sample injection masses at the laboratory bench using very low quantities of solvent. Typically, HPCCC instruments use only 1/5th to 1/10th of the solvent that preparative HPLC or flash chromatography use to process the same sample mass. Therefore, the time required and equipment and expense required for the handling and subsequent disposal of the solvent is significantly reduced. Furthermore, HPCCC instruments usually operate using isocratic conditions, so further savings in solvent usage can be achieved via recycling of all solvents used. Typically, 7 to 12 kilos of sample can be processed using as little as 500 litres of solvent.
